Winters Tree is another study of a tree. Every winter I paint the same tree and put the paintings up for sale here in the online art gallery. I will be looking to add even more artists to the site over the coming years to try and make this site as good as possible.
For this painting I studied several artists to try and understand how they painted trees
and then tried to deconstruct their techniques. Rather than simply copying a style once I understood how the artists had created the techniques I then set about constructing my own style based on the new understanding I had acquired.
A lot of famous artists all have quotes on my site and you will find these at the bottom of every art gallery page. I added the artists quotes to help people who may be put off by the stereotypical art scene and give them a way in to the mind of a painter.
