Sir John Clerke's Pond oil painting was created from one of the many ponds found within his estate. Here you will find thousands of compositions for paintings as it is one of the UK's most prized estates for its gardens and layout.
The pond itself had heavy growth over it so I limited the amount of reflections I put in. The trees In the estate are often very old I hope the way I painted them gets this across. Many of the art works I have for sale try to capture certain small aspects of the area that at first may not be apparent.
I haven't been down to the estate in a while due to the bad weather we have been having but as soon as the weather improves I hope to do a new collection of work using the estate as inspiration.
