Scottish Landscape Oil paintings on Canvas in Art work Gallery

Painting title: 5 million BC

Original Scottish Landscape Oil Painting On Canvas In the online art work gallery of Scotland

5 Million BC is an imaginative art work which took the Petland Hills in Scotland as a focal point and then worked backwards to try and capture what the area may have looked like far in the past. The oil paintings I produce all try to catch the bright colour of the Scottish landscape and show the energy running through the earth, bringing vitality and power to the landscape.

Having spent many years practicing shamanism my paintings sometimes bring forth a spiritual awareness which may otherwise be missing. I try as best as I can to empty my mind and let the oil painting paint itself, this may sound strange but I am trying to let nature paint what it desires, not what my mind may see or thinks it sees. In this way the painting is allowed to have accidents and areas of thoughtless creativity.

I hope to have this art work available in limited edition prints shortly. As time passes more and more of my paintings will be made available to buy in this way.

"I applied streaks and blobs of colours onto the canvas with a palette knife and I made them sing with all the intensity I could..."
